Community Outreach
As a church, our mission is to join God in the renewal of all things. We strive to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel by meeting the spiritual and physical needs of those in our community. Our goal is to ensure everyone we encounter knows they are loved and NOT ALONE.
While our efforts are not limited to structured programs, we currently partner with the ministries and organizations listed here in outreach initiatives. This provides opportunities for us join God in what He is doing here and around the world.
“Defend the weak and the fatherless;
uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.
Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
-Psalm 82:3-4 NIV
The Box
The Box is our need-meeting system at the Vineyard. It allows us to anonymously match up people in need with people who can help. Each month we help families in our church and community with groceries, gas, utilities, basic labor and more.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a hardship and may benefit from The Box, the first step would be to reach out to us via phone and email. We will then be able to assess your needs and recommend next steps. Please contact us by calling (865) 268-9668 or email Amy at amy@vineyardchurch.us.

Care Ministries

Our Meal Team works to provide meals for people in need. These people may need meals due to injury, illness, surgery, loss, or welcoming a new baby.
We also have a Freezer Meal Ministry. This allows people to give meals to us at any time. We will freeze them and deliver when a need arises.
Click this link to fill out our Meal Train Request Form.
Email Natasha Warren if you are someone in need of a meal, or if you are someone interested in serving on our Meal Team.
WRAP stands for Words of Encouragement, Respite Care, Acts of Service, and Prayer Team. WRAP team members walk alongside foster/adoptive parents providing support to ease stress and reduce burnout. The responsibilities of each WRAP team member can be specialized to their unique passions and skills. (ex: dropping meals, babysitting, mowing the grass, helping with grocery shopping, sharing encouraging messages, prayer, etc).
Reach out to Natasha Warren if you are in need of help from WRAP Ministry or if you would live to serve on this team.
Our Homebound Visitation Ministry enables those who are not longer able to be in-person at church or groups to still find a have meaningful connections. We offer connection through visitation, prayer, phone calls, cards, letters, and check-ins.
Reach out to Chris Carpenter if you or someone you know would benefit from Homebound Visitation Ministry or if you would live to serve on the team.
Our Hospital Visitation Ministry is for those having a prolonged hospital stay. It creates connection and comfort for those in the hospital and their families. Whether it be prayer, support, check ins, and more, this ministry is here to help wherever needed.
Reach out to Chris Carpenter if you or someone you know would benefit from Homebound Visitation Ministry or if you would live to serve on the team.
- PNO for Foster and Adoptive Families
-
- Once a year, Vineyard Church hosts a Parents Night Out for children ages 6 weeks-17yrs. This allows Foster/Adoptive parents to enjoy a fun, restful evening out. Children will enjoy games, arts and crafts, and other fun activities while their parents enjoy a free night out on us. Pizza & snacks will be provided. For more information, you can contact Zac Weaver, or Natasha Warren (See below).
- TN-KEY Classes
- Foster parents in Tennessee play a key role in the future of the children and families they encounter. Whether providing temporary support or a permanent home, foster parents help to strengthen families and provide children a safe environment where they know they are important and loved.
TN KEY (Knowledge Empowers You) classes show how foster parents work with DCS to improve the lives of children, give information about current DCS policies on caring for children in custody, and ultimately help determine if foster parenting is right for you. Whether you want to provide a temporary home for children in need or have the ultimate goal of adoption, TN KEY training will help prepare you for the unique challenges and rewards of becoming a foster parent. Vineyard Church periodically hosts these classes and will connect you with a class if we are not hosting. You can also find more information about becoming a Foster Parent in Tennessee by visiting this website.

- Wrap Around Families
- Not every family is called to foster or adopt, but we believe we are all called to care for the orphan. A great way to do this is to be a “Wrap-Around Family”. Our “Wrap-Around Families” support families who are fostering and adopting children. This means you pray, encourage, bring meals, offer childcare, meet immediate needs, assist in Christmas gifts, etc. We will help you find a family that is a great match.
For more information on any of these resources or opportunities, contact Natasha.
Our Kicks for Kids ministry provides a new pair of shoes to any child in need here in Blount County. We donate shoes to both the Isaiah 117 House and local schools in Blount County when a need arises. We collect shoes of all sizes, infant through adult.
Please drop off donations on Sundays between 9am-1pm at Vineyard Church. You can reach out to Natasha Warren for more information.
