worship at home

Happy new year! Each year Vineyard Church takes the first Sunday after Christmas to worship at home. Hopefully you're in a comfortable spot, and can settle into a meaningful time of worship, prayer and reflection. Just like when we gather at any of our venues, we'll pray, read scripture, worship, give, and recite Our Prayer. Unlike other Sundays, we won't get to see your face. We'll miss your face!

We'll gather again on Sunday, January 7 at our Knoxville, Maryville & Springbrook venues.

Take a moment to evaluate the relationships in your life. Allow scripture to be your guide. What might God be saying to you in these verses? Make a note of what stands out.

  • I Corinthians 13:4-8
  • James 1:19-20
  • Romans 12:9-10

Vertical Time

After considering the scriptures above, read over your notes and ask God to make this as personal as possible. Is there something you need to give to God? Are there steps he wants you to take? If so, make a plan to follow through.

Here's a short devotional you can complete in the next few days about cultivating unity.

Joining God in the renewal of

2 Corinthians 9:7 says not to give “reluctantly or under compulsion” so we don’t pass a plate for offering during our worship services. We believe that God moves in our hearts, and leads us in how we are to give. Our obedience to the Lord’s call to generosity is one of the most important ways that we can join God in the renewal of all things.

We honor your gifts with faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability so that the financial integrity of Vineyard Church remains beyond reproach.

Our Prayer

We’ve written a prayer, that serves as our benediction. It’s a declaration of deeply held values that unite us and inspire us. And each week as we stand and speak these words in unison, we are challenged to take these truths and petitions to accompany us on our every journey.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit
You alone are King.

Give us wisdom, courage, and kindness
That we might bear your image well.
Unify us in heart, soul, and purpose
That the world might know your love.

Make us your hands: generous and compassionate.
Make us your feet: valiant and steady.
In service to you and all you’ve created,
Give us love greater than fear.

Onward for your Kingdom,
We’re declaring your worth,
Finding our worth in you,
And joining you in the renewal of all things.
